Pilot Medical Services
was born out of a desire to help people who, for whatever reason, could
not help themselves. This has been a life-long passion for
owners
Jill, Greg, and Chris Schmutz. When the opportunity presented
itself, they decided to make their dream a reality.
All of the owners were volunteers on Pequannock First Aid
Squad.
Jill volunteered for eleven years and is a two-term past
president. Greg volunteered for three years, and in addition
to
his duties as an EMT, he helped to maintain the ambulances.
Chris
began volunteering at age 16. He has worked in private EMS
and
volunteered for 14 years. Two days after 9/11/01, Chris and
three
other Pequannock First Aid Squad volunteers were dispatched to Ground
Zero to assist in the aftermath of the crisis.

Medical Services wants to change the face of private EMS.
We vow to give the same high quality care to the
patient’s
family and a facility that the patient receives. It is
important
to us that we gain the trust and respect of everyone involved in the
care of the patient. It is our intention to
grow—but never
to the extent that the personal touch that we pride ourselves
on
is lost. Every patient, family, and facility should feel
special,
cared for, and dignified. We also strive to provide
our
patients with the assurance that their treatment will not
result
in unexpected bills. We work with many insurance companies,
and
are always willing to investigate every possibility for our patients.
